Più Eticamente is active supporter of Project Rwanda, a non-profit organization of social utility secular committed since 1996 in favor of children, women's rights and in building a culture of peace and social harmony.
Association's activities have focused initially on remote support of orphans, a direct way to provide financial and emotional assistance to thousands traumatized children by genocide and war that has torn the country in 1994.
Within some years, the commitment was extended to other at-risk groups with the aim of supporting the most vulnerable people through interventions aimed at the education of youth, vocational training and psychological support for unemployed widows women.
Project Rwanda intervenes in the country through local partners: individuals affected by the conflict and associations of proven reliability, in the belief that lasting peace and sustainable development can be built only by strengthening local capacity, networks of solidarity, self development and awareness of their rights.
In Italy, the Association joined the National Coordination for remote support, "La Gabbianella onlus", and organizes awareness initiatives to unite the memory of what you should not forget to concrete action to support the revival of the country.
The international community deals with many social, environmental and economic challenges. Più eticamente aims to find strategies to cope with the consequences of climate change, rapid urbanization, persistent poverty, sea and ocean pollution in order to develop more sustainable and inclusive human development models. With The Rio Declaration and its Agenda 21 the international community has committed itself to a change process that works towards social, environmental and economic justice, better protection of the ecosystem and the promotion of a more secure and prosperous future for all on the globe. Our current way of problem solving however is inappropriate for realizing the intended objectives. Contemporary problems require new, innovative solutions developed through applied research and based on values, knowledge, skills, attitudes and behavior emerging from the principles of sustainable development. Working towards resiliency from the perspective of social, environmental and economic justice creates opportunities for finding such solutions.
